Telent awarded in Defence Employer Recognition Scheme

Telent has been selected for a Silver Award as part of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).

Telent is passionate about supporting ex-forces personnel and service leavers. The business actively promotes and supports the recruitment of Service Leavers and is signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant (a promise ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly).

The scheme recognises the commitment and support that organisations demonstrate to defence and the armed forces community. It includes bronze, silver, and gold awards for employer organisations that align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.

"This is an award that means a lot to us as a business. We are passionate about helping those in the Armed Forces, Reservists and their families to find meaningful work and recognise the transferable skills they can bring to Telent. As a company operating across Critical National Infrastructure Telecoms and IT projects there is a lot of natural synergy between us as a business and Service Leavers past, present and future. We are keen to attract as many of them as we can across a wide range of roles, skillsets and locations. Our aim now is to make sure we not only continue to attract more candidates but to deliver on our promise to support and promote the Armed Forces talent pool across the wider business, and with our customers and suppliers moving forward"

- Tim O’Shea Internal Recruiter and Armed Forces Recruitment Champion, Resourcing Services

The awards ceremony will take place on 3 November at the National Memorial Arboretum.
