Telent is committed to halving GHG emissions by 2030

Telent Technology Services is committed to halving GHG emissions by 2030

Telent was among the first telecommunications services companies in the UK to receive approval for our carbon reduction targets from the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). We are committed to achieving short-term science-based targets, aligned with the goal of limiting warming to 1.5°C, aiming to reduce our carbon footprint by an average of 50% by 2030. This includes indirect emissions from our value chain.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions: - 46% absolute reduction by 2030 from an FY20 baseline

Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services and capital goods – 55% reduction by 2030 from a FY20 baseline using intensity metric of TCO2e per £ turnover.

In addition to our short term targets, we have also committed to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2050 at the latest.

Progress

Through supplier engagement, we have reduced the intensity of our Scope 3 supply chain emissions by 28% to date.
