Black History Month – October 2022
October is Black History Month and to mark this important time in the calendar, Telent is hosting a Live Talk with colleagues from around the business.
The theme for Black History Month this year is 'Time for change: Action not words'. It's a call for everyone to come together around a shared, common goal to achieve a better world by acknowledging the past and looking forward to the future.
Telent colleagues will discuss a range of topics and share experiences and stories on a “Live Talk” to be held virtually on Thursday 20 October 2022. The discussion is open to all colleagues from across Telent.
As part of Telent’s celebration of Black History Month, a number of colleagues has shared their personal thoughts and stories.
Further information
Black History Month takes place each October and, in previous years, has celebrated key figures and recognised pivotal events in Black history. This year, the focus is shifting slightly to recognise the achievements and contributions that Black people make in the UK every day – from people who worked on the COVID-19 frontline in hospitals, care homes, schools, supermarkets and warehouses, to the young people leading the way for equality, to the household names using their platforms to push for change. Black history is being made every day and October is dedicated to sharing and celebrating these stories.
