Telent to exhibit at the Three Counties Defence and Security Expo

Telent will exhibit at the Three Counties Defence and Security Expo (3CDSE), taking place on 2nd and 3rd November at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire. With over 130 exhibitors, 3CDSE is the UK’s most diverse and forward-thinking defence and security expo that provides a forum for discussions between the technology industry, armed forces, government, law enforcement and emergency services.

The theme of 3CDSE is Innovation, which includes a major focus cyber security, Artificial Intelligence and communications technology. This aligns strongly with Telent’s areas of expertise as a leading provider of technology solutions for the UK’s critical national infrastructure and mission critical communication networks across the defence, emergency services and public sectors.

The ever-increasing use of technology by the armed forces across land, sea and air is supported by a demand for high performance communications networks across both permanent base locations and forward deployed operations. Telent’s experience with a broad range of wired and wireless networking technologies, enable the deployment of solutions to support the “smart base” concept, providing a campus network environment capable of supporting multiple device types and diverse range of use-case applications. To support this Telent can bring together a capability across IP core networks, Wi-Fi, 5G Private Networks and SD-WAN technologies from multiple leading vendors, combined with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) frameworks and a Zero Trust architecture approach.

Telent’s presence at 3CDSE will be led by Andrew Emmett, Defence Account Director who commented “Outside of our existing clients, Telent may not be such a well-known brand in the defence sector, so 3CDSE presents the perfect opportunity to engage with both primes and end-user organisations, to discuss how we can assist with their networking and related technology requirements.”

The Three Counties Showground is the venue for 3CDSE, with Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire often described as the “golden triangle” of the UK’s defence and security industry given the MoD based in Herefordshire, Qinetiq and the Malvern Cyber Cluster in Worcestershire and GCHQ in Gloucestershire.
