“Green Wave” in Sandwell with Telent chosen to continue providing traffic signal services for another four years

Telent has secured a four-year contract with Sandwell Council for the Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Traffic Signals and Associated Equipment across 283 sites on the Council’s highways network.

Telent has secured a four-year contract with Sandwell Council for the Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Traffic Signals and Associated Equipment across 283 sites on the Council’s highways network.

The contract includes the maintenance of 109 Traffic Signal Junctions, 174 Pedestrian Crossings and 8 Journey Time Monitoring Cameras. Telent is also currently undertaking a money-saving LED traffic signals upgrade programme for the Council to increase the reliability and efficiency of these assets.

The contract includes coverage of West Bromwich, Wednesbury, Smethwick, Tipton, Rowley Regis and Oldbury. This new contract adds to Telent’s other neighbouring Traffic Signal Maintenance Contracts delivered in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Solihull.
