In this case study, the focus is on leveraging 3D digital data to enhance the efficiency of surveying, designing, and deploying CCTV cameras. By capturing 3D data, we can create optical designs directly from our desktops, eliminating the need for site visits.


This approach reduces equipment requirements, survey time, travel, and the associated CO2 emissions. Ultimately, this method significantly lowers our carbon footprint, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly operation.

This case study explores how the innovative use of 3D digital data can enhance the efficiency and sustainability of CCTV system design and deployment. By reusing previously captured 3D point cloud data, the process streamlines evaluations, ensures compliance with the NR/L2/TEL/30135 standard, and aids in early BIM model development.

The approach significantly reduces the need for site visits, minimises our carbon footprint, and improves design accuracy and validation through remote operations and efficient data reuse. This method not only lowers environmental impact but also reduces operating costs and maximises resource efficiency.
