There’s more charity challenge taking place across Telent this week and today the spotlight is on Sam Clarke, EHS Advisor in Business Support.
On Sunday 25 September 2022 Sam will be taking part in the Millwall Stadium Stair Climb for Demelza Hospice Care for Children. Sam will take on the 1,868 steps in and around The Den at Millwall Football Club.
Sam is a season ticket holder at Millwall and decided to get involved in the fundraise after seeing the great work the club do in partnership with the hospice including raising money on matchdays and organising charity events for the children.
This event will not be without its challenges for Sam who suffered ligament damage in his left knee while playing football and dislocated his right knee a few years ago. However, Sam is determined to put his best foot forward and raise as much as possible for this fantastic cause.
Sam said: “My best friend unfortunately lost his sister at a very young age and she was in the care of a local Demelza Hospice who made her last days very special for her and her family. I’m doing this fundraiser in memory of her.
“I have a minimum target of £350 that I’d like to reach and anything more than that will be absolutely brilliant. Any donations I receive will be truly appreciated and all of the money will be going straight to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.”
