Telent to exhibit at Specialist Defence & Security Convention UK

1st & 2nd November at Telford International Centre

Telent will exhibit at Specialist Defence & Security Convention UK (SDSC-UK), formerly the Three Counties Defence and Security Expo (3CDSE), the UK’s most diverse and forward-thinking defence and security expo. Taking place at the Telford International Centre on 1st and 2nd November, the event brings together senior leaders from the armed forces, security agencies and law enforcement with industry to provide a forum to share leading-edge technology and strategic thinking.

Telent supports an existing customer base across defence, central government departments and other public sector organisations, most notably designing, building and operating a next-generation mission critical communications for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.

Telent’s experience with network solutions for campus style environments, bringing together wired and wireless networking technologies, is also ideal to support the “smart base” concept for military facilities and operational bases. These network applications bring IP core networks with wireless access networks based on Wi-Fi and 5G Private Network technology plus SD-WAN technologies from multiple leading vendors.

Complimenting the networking solutions is Telent’s suite of remote monitoring and management applications that provide automation and control for IoT, CCTV and any smart or connected devices across a miliary base, headquarters building or local facility. The range of solutions includes ACUMEN, an IoT application providing real-time device condition monitoring that delivers data aggregation and visualisation in an intuitive interface from multiple sensor types monitoring a wide range of physical infrastructure including lifts, UPS, heating and ventilation equipment plus environmental sensors. The MICA solution provides the Integration of different systems into a single command and control platform covering CCTV, PAVA, SCADA, Customer Information Displays, Fire Alarm, Access Control and Security Systems. The Arbitex CCTV analytics platform, remotely monitors CCTV cameras for any blank, or alignment anomalies.

Andrew Emmett, Defence Account Director at Telent will lead the company’s presence at SDSC-UK commented “With Telent’s strong pedigree in critical national infrastructure projects and the deployment of mission critical networks, SDSC-UK is the ideal event to engage with both primes and end-user organisations in the defence sector. It’s the perfect opportunity to discuss how we can assist with their networking and related technology requirements.”
