5G Private Network solutions will also feature within Telent’s networking area. This technology creates a private, dedicated 5G coverage area that provides a high performance wireless network for HQ and training facilities, particularly those that contain multiple buildings spread across a large “campus style” environment. The technology also has operational use cases as a rapidly deployable field based solution that will provide a tactical communication bubble for major incidents capable of supporting voice, data and video connectivity across multiple agencies. This solution will be the focus of on a presentation “Emergency Service applications for 5G private networking” to be delivered by Andrew Carter, from Telent at 11:45am on 8th March.
Telent to exhibit at BAPCO 2023
The focus of the Telent stand at this year’s British Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (BAPCO) Annual Exhibition and Conference, will be a number virtual and hands-on demonstrations of technology solutions for emergency services. BAPCO will again take place at Coventry Building Society Arena on 7-8 March 2023.
Telent’s mission critical network solutions will be on display, covering both wired and wireless solutions for LANs using the latest in AI operations technology that enhances the network performance, improves the user experience and simplifies support to reduce the cost of ownership.
The new VLS solution to support communication with residents during high-rise building evacuations, developed in partnership with Merseyside FRS, will be available on the Telent stand. VLS allows officers at an incident to communicate over a significant range with multiple occupants of a high-rise building simultaneously, to prove updates, safety instructions and evacuation orders. In addition to high-rise evacuations, VLS has applications and use-cases for many other emergency service and public safety incidents such as flooding and wild fires. A presentation of the VLS solution is included in the BAPCO conference programme, this will be delivered jointly by Telent and Merseyside FRS at 1pm on 8th March.
