Team Telent Award - Team Scotland

Radio Team (Network Services)

Since 2018 the team has seen its workload increase with the MCA radio contract and the ongoing roll out of the MCA RNIR project. The team also carry out reactive and planned maintenance works for the Scottish Ambulance Service and RNLI at sites across the whole of Scotland from the Shetland Isles down to the north England. The on-call engineers are on a one-week-on, one-week-off schedule. This equates to half of their life being on call. Despite the increased workload, reduced team numbers and a significant amount of time on-call, the team goes over and above what is expected on a regular basis.

Firelink Team (Network Services)

The team cover the whole of Scotland installing and responding to faults on Airwave Firelink radios and data terminals in fire appliances and fixed sites, They also carrying out works on vehicles for the MCA. The team works an on-call rota to ensure support for these vital services is always available.

Team Scotland (Transport)

The Transport Team in Scotland is a small team of people achieving some amazing results not just under the normal time constraints of any project, but also exceeding the customers' expectations. Working from remote locations, the team plan, manage and deliver projects working in some high-risk locations and undertaking high-risk work, often in extreme weather conditions.

The team all share the same focus to achieve project milestones, continuously going above and beyond the call of duty on every shift to ensure the project is a success and the ongoing pipeline of work continues to flow from the customer, as it has done over the last 10 years. This can only happen thanks to the dedication and commitment of this team.

In the Field Award - Charlie Burden

Field Engineer, Network Services

Nothing's ever too much for Charlie. He spends many hours on the road and many nights away from home but is always in good spirits. If Charlie is sent out to a fault the job is in good hands and he'll know exactly what needs to be done. For his reliable and committed work ethic, the customer values him greatly.
