The Alzheimer’s Society has thanked Telent for donating over £185,000 since declaring the organisation as its chosen charity partner for the three years 2019 - 2021.
Despite the challenges the Coronavirus pandemic has presented during the last two years, Telent colleagues around the business have been determined to carry on with their fundraising efforts, working tirelessly to support everyone affected by dementia.
Alzheimer’s Society Senior Corporate Account Executive Joe Swan said he wanted to say “a huge thank you to Telent for all of your hard work on the partnership over the past three years. £185,998 is a fantastic total considering the circumstances of the last two years. It’s been a pleasure seeing all the amazing things you’ve done to support us. On behalf of Alzheimer’s Society, have a great 2022 and I wish you lots of success with your next charity partner.”
During the 2020 lockdown, colleagues at Telent helped run, walk, and cycle more than 53 marathons as part of its challenge to spell out ‘Telent4Alzheimers’ across the United Kingdom. In 2021, Team Telent extended its ‘Let’s go to Tokyo’ charity walk to an around the world challenge after reaching the original target two months early.
"It's been a challenging three-year partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, but I'm very proud of how Telent has risen to the challenge of taking part in virtual events and raising so much for the charity," said Telent Charity Champion and PA and Office Support Manager Chris Barford. "One of the highlights was when we set a challenge of walking, cycling, and swimming virtually from Warwick to Tokyo for the Olympics but we were so enthusiastic we carried on right round the world! Thank you also to our Charity Champions who have worked tirelessly to make everything over the three years happen."
Thank you to everyone who has got involved, donated, and raised money for Alzheimer’s Society.
