Telent to showcase cutting edge Drone Threat Management system to protect large public venues

New drone defence system, using unique CLEARSKY™, offers comprehensive situational awareness, providing a solution to the proliferation of drone-related incidents in the UK

Telent, a leading technology and network services company, today announced it will be demonstrating its Drone Threat Management system, a collaboration with Digital Global Systems (DGS), at Silverstone Circuit next month.

The solution protects stadiums, large public venues, airports and utilities from the threat of unauthorised and malicious drone use-age. It detects and locates and identifies drone activity and pin points the location of the drone operator.

Incorporating a flexible, simple-to-use system, drones from distances of more than two kilometres can be detected and any associated potential threats easily neutralised, at the discretion of the operator. With a simple interface and web-based functionality, the system permits access for any authorised personnel as operationally required, eliminating the need for additional training which is often required for alternative, heavy-duty, military systems.

“Our collaboration with DGS using CLEARSKY™, is a huge opportunity for us to be able to present the kind of offering that’s so badly needed,” said Shani Latif, Sales Director, at Telent. “The Drone Threat Management System will improve accuracy in detecting rogue drones and enhance usability at the same time. Users of the system will experience a faster and more accurate way to detect, identify and respond to unauthorised drones flexibly. It has application at a variety of different venues and installations. It has cost and operation benefits over alternative and military based solution. We look forward to being able to show benefits the system has to offer and to be able to explore possible deployment options with our customers.”

Telent and DGS’ live Drone Threat Management demonstration will be hosted by the British Racing Drivers Club, at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, on Wednesday, April 10 and Friday, April 12. Alongside its CLEARSKY™ Drone Threat Management System, Telent will also highlight the benefits of its extensive intelligent spectrum management solutions.
