“Nominations deadline extended to 9am 22nd January”
As a provider of mission-critical solutions for the emergency services, Telent is proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of the inaugural APD Control Room Awards.
The first of their kind, the awards are a celebration of the outstanding achievements of those who operate and work in emergency services and other critical control rooms, including the fire, ambulance, police, aviation and transport services.
With a significant customer presence within the emergency services sector, Telent understands the importance of recognising the incredible work undertaken by control room teams every day. It is essential to thank them for their services and continued dedication to saving lives and making our communities safer.
With 9 categories covering different aspects of the sector, the awards aim to bring public recognition and acknowledgment to unsung heroes. The Award for Services to the Public, sponsored by Telent, celebrates an individual who continually dedicates themselves and proves their loyalty and commitment to serving and supporting the public every day and is a true ambassador of the control room.
As well as appreciating the amazing continuous work of the control room, the event also offers an opportunity for like-minded individuals and groups to meet and share experiences from across both public and private sectors.
Telent’s General Manager of Public Safety and Defence, Barry Zielinski, comments: “We are proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of the first Control Room Awards, and are delighted to be able to recognise and celebrate heroes within the emergency services and the life changing work of mission-critical organisations.
“We pride ourselves on delivering technology and network services to many of the UK and Ireland’s emergency services and look forward to honoring those that use our technology first-hand, in order to aid and save the lives of those in need.”
Barry will also have the honour, and challenge, of joining this year’s judging panel.
The awards will take place on Thursday 8th March 2018 at the De Vere Orchard Hotel in Nottingham, where shortlisted nominees will join together to celebrate the many successes.
Nominations are now open and close on Thursday 18th January, with the shortlist announced on Thursday 1st February. For more information and to submit a nomination, please visit the website: www.controlroomawards.com.
