How to deliver 5G – Telent to explore the challenges and solutions at LINX 105 and Connected Britain

As demand for faster, better Internet continues to grow exponentially across all sectors, in business, industry, government and the consumer market, there is one topic and one technology that is currently dominating the telecom industry – 5G.

Having already moved from initial concept to early trials and small-scale deployments, operators and vendors alike are convinced that 5G will indeed pave the way to the next era of connectivity. But as the technology continues to progress and move towards larger-scale deployments, to eventually blanket the entire nation, how can operators effectively and cost-efficiently deliver 5G coverage?

It is this topic that Telent will explore in-depth, along the challenges, issues and solutions that need to be considered in the 5G era, at two upcoming industry events.

LINX 105: Telent becomes gold sponsor

At LINX105, Telent will return to The London Internet Exchange (LINX) members conference as a gold sponsor having first become involved at LINX103 in November 2018. Taking place at the Park Plaza Victoria in London on Wednesday, May 29 and Thursday, May 30, the event is organised by LINX, which provides peering services and public policy representation to over 500 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and other network operators.

The upcoming event will cover technical, corporate governance, and regulatory matters, with a number of industry experts presenting their views – including Gerard Donohue, Chief Technical Officer at Telent. Gerard will discuss an innovative approach to delivering 5G coverage and services to meet the demands of the user on Wednesday, May 29 at 3.35pm, covering the challenges, issues and solutions that need to be considered in the 5G era.

“LINX105 is an important event for Telent as we continue to provide crucial network infrastructure services to ISPs, Service Providers and a growing number of alternative network operators,” said Gerard. “This is a particularly exciting event as it will be the first time we will discuss 5G with the LINX audience and showcase the work we are doing to facilitate its delivery.”

Connected Britain: Telent digitally transforms the nation

Telent will continue to showcase its capability with connectivity infrastructure including 5G deployment options at Connected Britain, taking place at the Business Design Centre, London, from Tuesday, June 18 to Wednesday, June 19. The event, which hosts telecom operators, public sector organisations, property companies and suppliers, will examine the best practices to ensure that the digital economy flourishes and new digital businesses are supported.

It will also probe the topic of how existing, long-standing businesses can deliver digital transformation to allow them to capitalise on new opportunities. As Telent has expertise in the end to end delivery of Service Provider and ISP networks, the event will provide both a platform to discuss its work connecting the UK, deploying 5G and future-proofing systems.

“Telent has a proven track record of providing reliable services and by attending events such as LINX105 and Connected Britain, we hope to be able to share our learnings with the industry and explore how we can help businesses harness the significant opportunities the new digital economy is bringing,” added Gerard.
