Telent will be attending the JCT Symposium & Exhibition on 11th and 12th September at Nottingham Trent University, to showcase it’s innovative traffic solutions - including intelligent monitoring and data gathering - to traffic signal practitioners and manufacturers.

Utilising its extensive experience of the UK’s traffic infrastructure, experts from Telent will discuss best practice across the industry and how its solutions are providing valuable insights into traffic asset performance, assisting in reducing congestion and improving traffic flow across our roads.

Telent will display it’s Optima Hub - a web based, modular Intelligent Transport System (ITS) which integrates data from multiple sources and presents it in a simple, easy to digest format. Deployed with 18 local authorities, it gathers data from a range of assets including CCTV, air quality and bus priority assets, and remotely monitored traffic signal controllers, providing information for better traffic management.

Telent will also talk about recent contracts to upgrade and maintain traffic signals, including recently announced renewals with Worcestershire County Council (WCC) and Stoke-on-Trent City Council. Telent is building on a 12-year relationship with WCC to upgrade traffic assets across a 4000km road network and in Stoke is responsible for the maintenance and supply of the Council’s Intelligent Transport System (ITS) equipment, following a successful initial six-year contract.

Jon Benger, Business Development Manager, Rob Harding, Engineering Manager and Iain Ross, Principal Engineer, will attend to discuss our latest solutions and contract wins in more detail.

Jon Benger, Business Development Manager

"This event presents a brilliant opportunity to meet with the traffic sector and share knowledge, experience and good practice. We’re looking forward to showing how we’re contributing to traffic signals and management improvements across the country, and to hearing from other key figures in the sector."

The event has been bringing together traffic signal practitioners and manufacturers for almost 30 years, to maintain a sense of community amongst signals engineers.
