Telent recognised in GLA Responsible Procurement Case Studies for collaborative supply chain decarbonisation

Telent has been recognised by Transport for London (TfL) for its leadership in supply chain decarbonisation, demonstrating a strong and sustained commitment to responsible and sustainable procurement

The Greater London Authority (GLA) is the strategic regional authority for London, responsible for city-wide policy on transport, the environment and economic development. Telent is proud to be featured in its Responsible Procurement Case Studies 2024/25, which highlight leading examples of how procurement and supply chain collaboration can deliver meaningful social and environmental outcomes. Telent’s inclusion reflects its partnership work with TfL to reduce emissions across service delivery and the wider supply chain.

The case study showcases Telent’s deployment of more than 100 electric vehicles to support traffic technology and CCTV maintenance services across London. This forms part of an ambitious decarbonisation programme, including a commitment to reduce supply chain emissions intensity by 55% by 2030 through proactive supplier engagement and low‑carbon procurement. These efforts directly support London’s net‑zero ambitions and contribute to improved air quality across the capital.

The recognition underscores Telent’s approach to embedding carbon reduction into everyday delivery through close collaboration with customers and suppliers. By aligning operational decisions, fleet strategy and supply chain engagement, Telent is helping to deliver shared environmental goals and enabling practical, scalable decarbonisation across critical infrastructure services.

These actions contributed to Telent’s strong environmental performance in FY25, including a 40% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 50% reduction in Scope 3 carbon intensity. The achievement follows continued independent recognition through CDP, with Telent attaining A List status for Supplier Engagement and Scope 3 Management in 2024 - placing the organisation among the global leaders driving meaningful climate action beyond their own operations.
