Telent to show tech services for the blue light sector at The Emergency Tech Show 2024

Blue light sector organisations, to support their critical work keeping citizens safe, need operations to run as efficiently as possible. At The Emergency Tech Show next month, the sector will hear how its communications – from individual support services to complete ICT managed services – can be enhanced with solutions from Telent that are tailored to specific requirements.

The event, taking place on 18 and 19 September at the NEC, Birmingham, is the UK’s largest showcase of groundbreaking technologies and innovations for public safety and emergency response. It provides organisations with a key platform to leverage new innovations to make informed and investments and decisions for critical technology.

At 12:15 PM on 18 September, Telent Engineering Manager Alan Hulme will deliver a presentation on ‘Maximising Critical Technology Availability’. The presentation will explore the importance of providing a flexible ‘catalogue of services’ to enable blue light organisations to adopt new services as its requirements evolve or new technology becomes available. Alan will also talk about the success of Telent’s managed service for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS).

The Telent team will be available at Stand 4/C60 to discuss and perform virtual and hands-on demonstrations of its wide range of technology solutions for personnel from the blue light sector.

This includes Mission Critical Network services such as Telent’s 5G Private Network solution for “campus style” environments, which will be featured at the show. This technology creates a private, dedicated 5G coverage area that provides a high-performance wireless network for HQ and training facilities. It can also provide a tactical communication bubble for major incidents capable of supporting voice, data and video connectivity across multiple agencies.

Telent experts will also show its complete range of technology solutions and services that enable emergency services to provide a dedicated, high standard, fast response service to meet the safety needs of the public. This includes Mobile Data Terminals (MDT’s) for vehicle services that assist emergency services with current vehicle communication technology and help prepare them for the future transition to the ESN. Mobilisation of crews, through station end and control room solutions, is another key offering that will be on display at the event.
