In the financial year 2024, Telent’s UK supplier expenditure generated £80 million in local economic value nationwide, with an average regional impact of £6.6 million. This reflects the tangible benefits of local spending, including job creation, increased earnings, and wider economic activity. Additionally, 56% of spend was with micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), significantly exceeding the UK Government’s 33% target.
The company has also committed to building supplier capability through a structured programme of support. This includes offering over one hundred hours per year of mentoring, training, and collaborative development each year, helping smaller suppliers to meet the rigorous standards of major infrastructure projects. This includes a recent Supplier Engagement Event, attended by over 150 organisations, which provided a platform to share upcoming opportunities, communicate expectations around sustainability and strengthen collaboration across the supply chain.
