Telent is delighted to announce that the company’s Rail business has once again successfully passed its annual audit and has been awarded 5-star supplier status by the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS).
RISQS provides a service for the verification of suppliers for all products and services that are procured by the railway industry. The system is used by railway buying organisations such as Network Rail, LUL/Transport for London, passenger, light rail and freight train operators. When searching for suppliers, rail buying organisations start with RISQS. Being 5-star audited sets Telent apart from many other suppliers.
Suppliers must prove their capability to supply products and services, including railway safety critical products and services, through an in-depth audit.
Telent’s thorough RISQS assessment was conducted over four and a half days, from 30th January to 3rd February. It examined a number of areas including management systems and structure, health and safety controls, environmental management, implementation of policies, design management, supply chain management, competence management, occupational health and management of fatigue, to name just a few.
