Telent has become a member of the UK’s technology trade association techUK and recognises the strong synergies between the association’s objectives and Telent’s key areas of focus. As a member of techUK, Telent aims to use its expertise and experience to contribute towards techUK’s mission to shape policy, accelerate innovation and develop markets for technology solutions across key sectors, including defence and emergency services.
A key driver behind Telent’s decision to join techUK was the role the organisation has played to help the UK’s defence technology sector align itself with the MoD. Telent believes there are important similarities between its track record with large-scale critical communication network projects and the requirements of the defence sector for its next generation of communication networks for both operational bases and tactical deployment.
The company is keen to engage in techUK’s initiatives around the emergency services and telecoms activities too, as they tie in with Telent’s experience in mission-critical communications, technologies and critical infrastructure focus areas.
“We look forward to working collaboratively with the members at techUK to help complement of our existing offering across a host of critical sectors,” said Telent Sales Director Shani Latif. “We have no doubt that joining techUK will positively impact our overall UK market presence in the years ahead as we help our customers remain at the forefront of the digital revolution.”
Creating a network for innovation and collaboration across business, government and stakeholders, techUK has more than 850 members across the United Kingdom and aims to collaborate with organisations to realise the positive outcomes that digital technology can achieve.
