As one of the longest standing sponsors, Telent is proud to continue sponsoring the Soldiering On Awards 2018, now in its 8th year.
The Awards are a celebration of the fantastic achievements of those who are currently or have previously served their country in the Armed Forces, as well as the community of people who work together in support of them. They bring awareness and recognition to deserving individuals, teams, charities and businesses who offer outstanding contributions to society in life after the Military.
With experience in delivering expertise and solutions to organisations such as the Ministry of Defence, Telent has a first-hand insight into the invaluable work carried out everyday by those nominated for the Awards. This gives Telent a great appreciation of the importance of recognising and thanking them for their contributions to society.
The Inspiration Award, sponsored by Telent, recognises a person or group who have overcome significant challenges, injury or disability, both mental and physical, to go on to serve their communities and society and who truly embody the spirit of Soldiering On.
Once again, this year saw an outstanding selection of nominations received across all 12 categories, with the shortlist announced earlier in January. A private reception is to be hosted at the House of Lords on 8th February to recognise and celebrate their achievements of all shortlisted finalists.
The Awards are judged by an independent panel, co-chaired by the Awards’ President, General the Lord Dannatt GCB, CBE MC, DL, and Vice President, Debra Allcock-Tyler, CEO of the Directory of Social Change.
Additionally, two of this year’s awards, the People’s Choice Award and Pets at Home Animal Partnership Award, will be open to an online public vote, which will open in February and run throughout March.

The Awards Night will take place on the 20th April at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel where the winners will be announced. We look forward to celebrating all the incredible achievements and individuals who make such outstanding contributions to our society.
