Telent supports an existing customer base across critical national infrastructure projects including defence, emergency services, central government and other public sector organisations. Many of these projects focus on mission critical network applications that bring together IP core networks with wireless access networks based on Wi-Fi and 5G Private Network technology plus SD-WAN technologies. Working with multiple leading technology vendors, Telent experience with wired and wireless networking technologies for campus style environments, is also ideal to support the “smart base” concept for operational bases and the “lived experience” for accommodation blocks.
Complimenting the networking solutions is Telent’s suite of remote monitoring and management applications that provide automation and control for IoT, multiple CCTV technologies and any smart or connected devices across a miliary base, headquarters building or local facility. The range of solutions includes ACUMEN, an IoT application providing real-time device condition monitoring that delivers data aggregation and visualisation for preventative maintenance planning through an intuitive interface from multiple sensor types monitoring a wide range of physical infrastructure including lifts, UPS, heating and ventilation equipment plus environmental sensors. The MICA solution provides the Integration of different systems into a single command and control platform covering CCTV, PAVA, SCADA, Customer Information Displays, Fire Alarm, Access Control and Security Systems. The Arbitex CCTV analytics platform, remotely monitors CCTV cameras for any blank, or alignment anomalies.
Notable projects from Telent include designing, building and operating a next-generation mission critical communications for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, designing and implementing the complete IT and communications infrastructure for the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, and the transformation of the National Roads Telecommunication Services (NRTS) for national Highways supporting England’s 4,400 mile strategic road network.
