Maria’s chilly charity sleepover

Telent Project Manager to raise money for Railway Children

Telent colleagues continuously go above and beyond doing what they can to support local and national charities. To kick off the New Year, today Telent is shining the spotlight on Maria McCartney, Project Manager in Transport as she embarks on a chilly challenge to support Railway Children.

On 9 February, Maria is swapping the safety, security and warmth of her own cosy bed for the frosty floors of Glasgow Central Station as part of the Big Station Sleepout. The campaign aims to raise awareness and funds for Railway Children, a charity supported by those working in rail and beyond to help disadvantaged children around the UK and around the world.

In 2022, the Big Station Sleepout saw more than 300 people sleeping at eight stations across the UK, raising more than £180,000 for the charity.

"

My New Year’s resolution is to give more back, and this is the first of many stepping-stones to help me achieve this. I’d be incredibly grateful to any colleagues who can spare a few pounds to sponsor me as I take on this chilly challenge!
