Our first set of newly skilled Poling Engineers have completed their Solent training to work as two (soon to be three) gangs, to provide and replace poles in Bristol, Wiltshire, and Dorset in the south-west of the country.
Their success was achieved with great encouragement and support from Operations Manager, Stuart Smith, Technical Surveyor, Dean Rochester and Supervisor, Tony Roberts. A credit to them for ensuring that all our trainees have received the necessary support, advice, and equipment during their training and throughout their complete journey as they progressed to becoming skilled Poling Engineers.
These individuals have evolved from a diverse set of backgrounds including that of chef’s and electricians. They all now hold the required Openreach overhead accreditations, plus the required NRSWA and IPAF certifications. Five of them are seen below with the management team from Solent.

Honourable mentions to the two missing trainees that were on leave when this photo was taken, they are: Callum Mayled and Jack Braithwaite.
Congratulations and well done to all our newly qualified Poling Engineers! We wish them the very best of success in their future careers with Telent Infrastructure Services.
