£75,900 raised for Mind charity at Telent annual Golf Day
Every year, Telent invites suppliers, customers and colleagues to its Annual Charity Golf Day in aid of the company’s chosen charity. With Mind, the mental health charity, as the fundraising cause this year, players took to the fairways once again for the 18th edition of the event at a new venue in Warwickshire.
Mind representatives were also in attendance at Stratford-on-Avon Golf Club, which hosted the event. Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing mental health issues.
With the overwhelming generosity from its suppliers and customers Telent are proud to announce the event raised an eye-watering £75,900 for its nominated charity.
I’d like to extend out my thanks to all our suppliers and customers who attended. Without your continued support and generosity, it would be near-on impossible to raise such a huge amount for Mind. It was a glorious day, with the weather certainly on our side this year adding to the intensity of play.
Congratulations to Brookvex, the winning team on the day and to the overall individual winner, Ian Evans of iSource.
A considerable amount of money was raised on the 10th hole, where the golf teams stopped for a glass of champagne, partake in the tombola, enter the silent auction and participate in the ultimate hole-in-one competition. The prize was a brand-new electric car, although no-one was lucky (or skilful) enough to win it.
In the evening, the main auction attracted a lot of attention, thanks in part to the auctioneering talents of Neil Back MBE, a world-cup winning former rugby union player.
19 teams entered to play at the golf club, one of the oldest and most revered in Warwickshire, and this year, unlike last, teams were delighted to be greeted with fantastic weather for the day.
I always look forward to getting involved with our Annual Charity Golf Day. This year has been no exception and I have been astounded at how much we have managed to raise for Mind. Once again, I have been left feeling truly grateful that we are able to host the event raising funds for such a dedicated charity who are providing support to people experiencing mental health problems.

This will enable us to fund vital services during the cost-of-living crisis which is affecting two thirds of people’s mental health.
