Telent Technology Services Limited has been awarded the prestigious 2020 RoSPA Gold Fleet Safety Award for management of occupational road risk for the second successive year.
The award recognises Telent’s practices and procedures to help keep its staff safe on the road and get home safely at the end of the working day.
The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards are internationally renowned as the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. It receives entries from organisations around the world and recognises achievements in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
“At Telent, our number one priority is to keep people safe and we recognise that driving is a key occupational risk and one that we take very seriously across the organisation,” said Jo Gretton, Chief Operating Officer at Telent. “Receiving this award is testament not only to the care and attention taken by our drivers but also to the hard work and dedication of our fantastic Driver Safety Operational Group. It continues to focus on identifying the risks our drivers face on the road, encouraging everyone to be mindful and finding solutions to reduce those risks.”
Telent will be presented with the award during a ceremony at Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel later this year. Representatives from the Driver Safety Operational Group will be attending, as well as selected drivers from across the business who have consistently demonstrated positive driving behaviours.
