Once again Telent will be attending the annual BAPCO Exhibition and Conference, taking place at the Coventry Building Society Arena on October 12 and 13. The British Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (BAPCO), is acknowledged as the leading UK based association for all professionals using or developing technology across the emergency services and public safety sector.

At BAPCO 2021, through a combination of a Telent stand in the main exhibition hall and active participation in the Conference Programme, the company will discuss key technology issues facing the emergency services. These will include major topic areas such as the transition to ESN, the role of ICT services in digital transformation, and how new, emerging technologies are likely to impact the sector.

This presentation from Telent’s Head of Operations Grant Cowans will provide an organisation wide perspective on preparing for the transition to ESN. It will consider the many technologies and services that will be impacted, with a particular focus on the role of fleet managers in planning for the transition to ensure an efficient move to ESN for their organisations.

Roundtable discussion - New and emerging technologies - Wednesday 13 October at 10am

Telent is hosting a roundtable discussion of new and emerging technology and how it will impact the IT infrastructure and operations of emergency services organisations. The discussion will explore the benefits to be gained from the latest IT innovations and the potential challenges associated with the implementation, management and user adoption of new technology. Also considering the changes to working locations and practices resulting from the pandemic, the discussion will explore the role of IT networks and infrastructure in supporting flexible and dynamic organisations.
