Telent has been awarded gold status of the Highways Electrical Registration Scheme, administered by Highways Electrical Association (HEA). The HEA is one of the largest and most influential bodies within the sector, representing over 100 organisations whose contract services range from street lighting and traffic signals to highway communications.
Being awarded gold status recognises Telent’s commitment to developing and maintaining the highest levels of skills and capabilities to work in the Highways sector. The status has been achieved by collaborative working areas across our business and with our suppliers; a success story of the seamless working around our business.
Telent deliver critical highways communications and traffic signals products and services and have made significant investments in the development of our engineering workforce, including the recent creation of a purpose built Training Academy. This additional investment gives us enhanced ability to self-deliver training, ensuring that our engineers are highly skilled and able to install, maintain and support a wide range of highways electrical equipment for our customers, including National Highways. It also supports our safety commitment that Everyone Goes Home Safe Every Day.
With traffic congestion and increasingly complex transport systems, our service offerings provide complete intelligent solutions. Our responsive approach to our customers is key in an age where users expect seamless communication, regardless of the technology employed. Our HERS status allows us to continue to deliver electrical works on assets in the Highways environment to the highest standard.
Telent are also an approved HESA (Highways Electrical Skills Academy) ATO (Approved Training Organisation) with scope to deliver over 45 approved training course titles. There is a growing team of dedicated HESA approved trainers and NVQ Assessors.
