Telent will play a crucial role in building a new full fibre network for CityFibre, connecting hundreds of thousands of people across the North West.
Around 350 jobs will be created as UK critical digital infrastructure firm Telent embarks on a 4-year project to roll-out ultrafast broadband services to homes and businesses in Blackpool, Preston and Chester.
New full fibre connections begin to be installed by Telent in the north west from early next year on behalf of CityFibre, the UK’s third national digital infrastructure platform. This forms part of a wider CityFibre £4 billion Gigabit City Investment Programme which aims to reach up to 8 million premises nationwide.
Telent Infrastructure Services Managing Director, Ric Welsby, said: “Telent is proud to be playing our part in bringing ultrafast broadband to the north west. We are now looking for an array of reliable and dedicated people to help build this new network”.
