Station Information Systems

Our Station Information and Security System (SISS) capability has developed during our long involvement in the UK’s rail network; we have installed and maintained SISS systems on over a third of UK rail stations and the majority of those on London Underground and the Docklands Light Railway. Our tried and tested range of in-station capabilities offers a broad selection of solutions including CIS, PA, Help Points and CCTV systems.

We work with the leading manufacturers of display technologies and CIS and PA systems to ensure that the systems we design and install meet the exacting requirements of Network Rail, DLR and LUL. Our engineers also continue to develop systems that not only improve station communications, but also offer increasing efficiency in station management.

The latest developments with MICA, our station management tool, enable station communication information to be integrated with other station systems such as fire detection and suppression, lifts and escalators etc. We specialise in integrating new technology with legacy systems, right down to the heritage clocks. Those systems are accessed and controlled by station staff via tablets, on the move as well as from the office. We are also excited to be taking part in a new research project into “The Station of the Future.”
