Our Detailed Design offering is a fundamental element in our design, plan, build approach to projects. This applies equally to the CCTV camera over the ticket gateline, or a country-wide radio based signalling system coupled with the capability to deliver packages for standalone telecoms renewals and complex inter-disciplinary schemes. The engineering competencies required are predominately in-house, fully assessed against industry recognised frameworks, with a capacity to meet the current demands of the Rail market.

Scotland Radio Electronic Token Block (RETB)
Network Rail’s RETB Next Generation project replaces the current Band III sub-band 2 radio equipment with new radio equipment. This is used to provide the voice and data bearer for RETB schemes operating on the West Highland Lines and the Far North Lines operating on Band III sub band 1.
The project involves the installation of new radio equipment at hilltop sites, installation of new RETB radio equipment and Cab Display Units, provision of new audio consoles for signallers and modifications to the existing radio control racks at the Banavie and Inverness Signalling Centres to accommodate the changes to the radio network.
East Anglia Line
We have recently begun the upgrade of DOO CCTV systems on the East Anglia Line for Network Rail, covering 60 platforms at 30 stations. The project showcases the latest in our own survey and design tools which cut valuable time from the process. This scheme requires complete design packages covering telecoms, civils, electrical and signal sighting.
London Underground Asset Performance JNP
We provided PAVA design and build across 75 London Underground stations, covering amplifier and speaker configuration, AFIL product design and radio microphone planning.
First Great Western
Our work for First Great Western centred on the acoustic design for 57 stations between London and Penzance, to determine the location, type and tapping of each speaker, with associated amplifier configuration.
