Managed Services - Specialist Geological Survey Company

The purpose of this service is to manage the company’s IT Infrastructure located at two sites and to form a strategic method for improving the company’s operations whilst cutting expenses.

telent are now responsible for managing the following elements of the customer’s infrastructure: Compute (servers), Storage (Storage Arrays and SAN Switches) and Hypervisor (VMware vSphere).

As a part of the service telent provide platform system administration as well as reactive support (incident management). This includes customer advisory, vendor escalation and case ownership. All systems are proactively monitored during the business hours and alerting system configuration enables us to provide emergency cover (reactive support to business critical issues out of business hours 24/7). Firmware updates and patches are implemented during scheduled working windows in line with agreed change control process.

Additionally, yearly system health checks and capacity reports are provided giving full analysis and best practice recommendations on how to fully optimise the platform.
